The Texas Innovation Invitational, held from July 29-31, 2024, at the Grand Hyatt Riverwalk and Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas, was an event that showcased the future of transportation. This three-day gathering brought together transportation leaders, innovators, and industry experts from across the state to explore the latest developments in mobility. Organized by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), Texas Innovation Alliance (TIA), and Team San Antonio, the event served as a melting pot of ideas, collaborations, and groundbreaking technologies.

Rekor was proud to be at the forefront, actively participating in the Technology Showcase and engaging with the vibrant community of transportation professionals. Our presence at the event was marked by insightful demos, meaningful conversations, and the opportunity to share how Rekor is already making a tangible impact on transportation management in Texas.

As part of the Technology Showcase, Rekor exhibited two of our flagship solutions: Rekor Command™ and Rekor Discover™. These platforms represent the cutting edge of our work in transportation technology, and we were excited to share them with the event's attendees.

One of the highlights of our participation was showcasing Rekor Command, a powerful platform that is already making waves in Austin, Texas. Through the use of our proprietary AI algorithms and technology, the Rekor Command™ platform detects events by transforming raw roadway and mobility data into actionable insights, ensuring transportation teams can respond to events disrupting the roadways in a timely and efficient manner, while also enabling the insights needed to analyze past performance and make collaborative data-driven decisions to drive improved performance of the roadways in the future.

Our live demos showcased the platform's ability to integrate with existing infrastructure and deliver actionable insights that empower TMC operators and transportation officials. Attendees were particularly interested in seeing how the platform's predictive analytics and real-time monitoring capabilities are helping to reduce congestion and improve the overall transportation experience for Austin residents. The positive feedback we received reinforced our belief that Rekor Command is a game-changer for transportation management, and we were thrilled to share this success story with our peers at the Texas Innovation Invitational.

Rekor Discover™ is a cutting-edge platform that addresses the limitations of traditional traffic data collection methods, which are often unsafe, costly, and inefficient. By leveraging AI-powered roadside systems, Rekor Discover™ automates the capture of comprehensive traffic and vehicle data, offering transportation organizations robust analytics and actionable insights.

Key features include:

• Vehicle Counting: Accurate tracking of vehicle volumes, including Average Daily Traffic (ADT) and location-specific counts.

• Speed Detection: Detailed reports on average speeds, spot speed patterns, and 85th percentile speed values.

• Vehicle Classification: Identification of vehicle types using the FHWA 13-bin system, supporting safe data collection and federal funding allocation.

• EV Monitoring: Differentiation between gas and electric vehicles, aiding in the planning of charging networks.

• Air Quality Analysis: Estimation of CO2 emissions to assess air quality impacts.

• Vehicle Tonnage: Understanding the average gross weight of the vehicles traveling.
